an appointment for your home inventory. At that time, we will ask you questions such as:
- Square footage of your home
- Your grounds and outbuildings
- How many rooms in your home and their description
(living room, kitchen, master bedroom, etc.)
- Art,
antiques, jewelry or any special collections for which you would like
to have detailed inventories (optional and will be billed hourly)
We will give you an estimate of costs.
You do not need to prepare your home in any special way for
our visit. Our purpose is solely to document your home and possessions for your own needs. However, it would be helpful
to have on hand important documents, receipts, appraisals and
to let us know of any items that are specifically listed in your homeowners insurance policy. We do not perform appraisals, but we can coordinate appraisals for you with a trusted appraiser.

For an average 2000 sq ft home with a typical amount of
furnishings and other items, calculate that it will take 2-3 hours of your time. Of course, documenting in detail large collections will add time to this estimate. Braun Inventory Specialist professionals are licensed, bonded and insured and must adhere to our strict codes of privacy, ethics and confidentiality.
After making the inventory, you can expect to receive your secure, zippered binder, including digital photo printouts, cross-referenced to spread sheets and your DVD, within three weeks.
